Boone County's Upward Mobility Initiative Highlighted by Urban Institute
The Upward Mobility Initiative, facilitated by the Boone County Community Services Department and driven by community workgroups, has been recognized nationally by the Urban Institute and featured on the "In Their Own Words" section on the Urban Institute's website. Four of the Upward Mobility Initiative leaders were interviewed for the story, which was published May 19, 2026.

Farmers Invited to Apply for Inaugural Water-Friendly Farmers Recognition Program
The Greater Bonne Femme Watershed Initiative (GBFWI) is seeking nominations for its Water-Friendly Farmers Recognition Program. The program honors farmers who protect watershed resources through sustainable practices. Nominations will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1. Members of the GBFWI will choose one nominee to be recognized as the 2026 Water-Friendly Farmer.

Application Deadline Approaching for the Boone County Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Program
The Boone County Collector of Revenue is currently accepting applications for the Boone County Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Program. Eligible Boone County taxpayers who wish to participate in the program can apply through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
