Boone County is committed to making our website accessible to all users. To meet this commitment, the county remains actively engaged in the ongoing process of testing, developing, and updating the website. We make every reasonable effort to comply with the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Section 508 requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information or services from public entities, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the public entity.
Standards and Limitations
Boone County is committed to meeting or exceeding Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level A and Level AA success criteria. However, despite our best efforts there may be some limitations, such as:
- We make our best effort to develop web content that is compatible with as many modern browsers and assistive devices as possible. However, web page interpretation varies widely between browsers/devices and can occasionally cause inconsistencies in page rendering and functionality that we may be unaware of. In these instances, your feedback is welcomed and appreciated.
- We do not support web browsers or browser versions that are no longer supported by their respective vendors.
- Web documents created or modified prior to April 24, 2026, are considered archives and/or preexisting conventional electronic documents and may not be fully accessible.

Telecommunications Relay Service
Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) is a free service provided by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This service allows persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, or have speech disabilities to communicate by telephone in a manner that is functionally equivalent to telephone services used by persons without such disabilities.
TRS services are available in many forms, including calling 7-1-1 to reach the Relay Missouri telecommunications relay service. For more information, please refer to the FCC's Consumer Guide to Telecommunications Relay Service.
