Boone County Ready Festival
About the Event
OEM will be hosting the 6th Boone County Ready Festival on Thursday, September 17, from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Cosmo Park - Lamb Shelter. The rain date will be Thursday, October 1st at the same time and place.
The Ready Festival is an annual, community-wide event that recognizes everyday heroes in the response and preparedness fields while fostering preparedness and building resiliency in our community. We will have food, activities for all ages, crafts, live music and more!
Vendor Registration
The Boone County Office of Emergency Management is interested in vendors or organizations in the emergency management, public safety, mental health, emergency preparedness, or related fields.

Tom S. Hurley Public Safety Service Award
Each year we accept nominations from the Boone County community to recognize someone who goes above and beyond to serve others. Nominations for 2026 will be accepted during the month of July.
Nominations are reviewed and awardees selected by a comprehensive committee of community members in the public service industry. The 2026 committee is composed of individuals from the following organizations:
