Building Permit Fee Calculator
New Building Permit Fee Calculation System
Effective June 1, 2026, a new building permit fee calculation system will be implemented. This change may show a slight decrease in some permits and a slight increase in others. Any application submitted June 1st or after will be subject to the new fee calculation system. Our online Permit Fee Calculator will be updated on June 1, 2026, if you calculate fees on May 31st using our current system, but do not submit your application until June 1st, please be advised that the fees will be calculated by Resource Management under the new fee system.
The online residential building permit fee calculator is for estimating purposes only and is provided as a courtesy. The dollar amount you figure may not be the exact amount you will be charged. Due to the numerous types of permits our office processes, a calculator is provided only for the most common permits.
Please note that there is a minimum building permit fee of $40.00 regardless of the size of the structure.
Fees for onsite wastewater and driveway permits are not included in the calculator below. See our Forms & Fees page for this information.
If you are paying with a credit card please note that a 2.35% convenience fee will be added to all credit card transactions with a minimum fee of $1.55. To avoid this you may pay with cash or a check.
All fees are subject to change and must be paid when you apply for the permit.
