CHILDCARE TEACHER'S AIDE P/T
CHILDCARE CENTER
Responsibilities:
The Teacher's Aide assists in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks - 5 years old. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom management, supporting positive behavior guidance, and helping maintain a clean, organized learning space.
Status:
Part-time, non-exempt, non-benefited
Working hours:
Up to 30 hours per week. Shifts vary; 7 days/week, 5:00 am - 10:00 pm. Must be able to work any shifts as needed to support center operations and staffing requirements.
Location:
Columbia, Missouri
Qualifications:
At least 18 years old, in accordance with applicable state or licensing regulations.
Current CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain it within a designated time frame.
Must pass a background check and medical examination as required by applicable licensing regulations, federal, state, and Boone County policies.
Must maintain employment eligibility by meeting all state licensing, certification, background check, and training requirements.
Preferred Skills:
High school diploma or GED.
Basic understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
Twelve months or more experience working with children ages 5 years or younger in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting.
Starting Hourly Pay Rate:
Starting from $17.05 per hour, commensurate with experience. Potential for shift differential.
